On February 13, the exhibition "Trazos recientes: Nuevas adquisiciones del acervo” opened at the Visual Arts Center (CAV), located in the historic Santa Ana neighborhood of Mérida.

This exhibition brings together a selection of works recently added to the collection of the Secretariat of Culture and the Arts (SEDECULTA), highlighting the diversity of approaches and techniques within contemporary art. Among the exhibited pieces is a work by artist Alfredo Romero, known for his use of the strappo technique, through which he recovers and preserves fragments of urban identity from historical walls and hand-painted signs.

The exhibition will be open to the public until March 23, 2025, offering a unique opportunity to discover and appreciate the talent of various creators in a space dedicated to artistic dissemination.
